Gold | Silver
Status:
Condor geologists completed a small mapping and sampling program and definition of the high-sulfidation epithermal system in October 2021.
Location:
The property is located in the Department of Puno in southern Peru, approximately 75 km northwest of the city of Puno and approximately 12 km southeast of the Arasi Mine of the Aruntani Mining Group.
Property:
The wholly owned Quilisane gold and silver property is approximately 4 square kilometers in size and is located in the Department of Puno, approximately 75 kilometers northwest of the city of Puno and approximately 12 kilometers southeast of the Arasi gold mine. Quilisane was acquired through sealed bid auction in 2016. In 2019, the Company reduced the concession areas from approximately 18.4 square kilometers to the current 4 square kilometers.
In January 2017, Condor and Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (“Sandstorm”) completed a transaction that included the sale of a 0.5% NSR to Sandstorm in the Quilca-Quilisane project.
The Company is seeking a joint venture partner to continue exploring and advancing the Quilisane project.
Previous work:
Around 2004, up to 13 shallow holes (less than 100 m deep) were drilled in the eastern part of the concessions.
Geology/Mineralization:
Quilisane is located in the Tertiary volcanic belt of the eastern Andes, which hosts epithermal systems with precious metals. In Quilisane there is extensive advanced epithermal argillic alteration, with silicification and hydrothermal breccias, and small fluidizations with anomalous geochemical results for gold. and pioneering elements. Also located metallogenically along the belt that hosts epithermal high-sulfidation gold and silver mines, such as the Arasi district, and other projects and developments. This major alteration focuses on defining the gold-silver ledges in epithermal and also focuses on the gold-copper porphyry beneath the lithocap.
